Pinterest Business Account: Convert or Start Fresh?

Now, now, before you freak out and give up already, I’m going to help you decide! I’ve got you my friend!

Do you have a personal account that you are established on? Could it offer a good foundation for your business account, by adding niche-related boards and making non-related boards private or archived? 

If you answered yes to the above, choosing to convert your personal account to a business account, may work out well for you. Now, you can still use your Pinterest account for personal pinning, just do it on your hidden boards. 

 

Start Fresh

Have you been pinning a lot of “repins” or repinning your pins multiple times to multiple boards? If this is something you’ve been doing for a while now, it is an old and outdated pinning strategy now that Pinterest has declared that the algorithm will be focusing on NEW and FRESH pins. 

Outdated pinning strategies can hinder your account growth so, if you answered yes to the above question, you may want to consider starting fresh with a business account.

 

Please note, that I’ve seen accounts succeed and grow with both options. It really comes down to what you prefer and you can use the above guideline to assist in that decision.
